Junior Justine Hayes has a game high 18 points and the Spartans used a 16-7 scond-quarter run en route to a win over the host Purgolders.

Sophomore Sara Heine and junior Alyssa Ayala each has nine points for Memorial. Junior Dana Rsmussen paced Madison East with nine points.

I saw Alyssa Ayala on television the other night

She was on the Madison Memorial Varsity Basketball team and they were playing against Madison East. Alyssa, a junior, plays point guard on the team.

Lorena scores another goal in indoor soccer

but her team lost on Sunday to Yahara 5-2. Javier played on Thursday and Friday and scored a goal each night. They both plan on playing the third and final session of indoor soccer.

Sergio Barbosa-Mireles updates

Sergio finished his course load
and graduated early. He moved to
Ithaca, N.Y. to train with the
wrestling team and get ready for
Senior Nationals. He already found a job!
